I recently opened a savings account at the Bank of Maharashtra, Rajnagar Extension branch (Ghaziabad), and I’m really pleased with the service. Here’s how the experience was, and why I think this branch deserves praise:

1. Clear and Helpful Communication
From my first inquiry, the staff were friendly and explained exactly which documents I needed (Aadhaar, PAN, photograph, proof of address). There was no confusing jargon.
2. Smooth Documentation & KYC Process
The KYC process was efficient. The staff guided me step by step, even helped me check that all photocopies were clear and signatures aligned to the standard formats. There were no repeated trips due to missing documents.
3. Reasonable Waiting Time
Although there were other customers, I experienced minimal waiting. They had enough staff at the account-opening counter and processed my forms reasonably fast.
4. Transparency About Fees / Requirements
They clearly told me about the minimum balance requirement, monthly charges (if any), and when the account would be fully operational (i.e. when cheque book / passbook would arrive). No hidden surprises.
5. Good Infrastructure & Operations
The branch timings are reliable (10 AM to 4 PM), the location is clean and accessible (AVS City Square), counters are properly marked, and the staff seemed well-trained. Branch contact number is easy to get, which helped in follow-ups.
